"Married to my best friend" Adventure

Well yesterday Donna and I celebrated 26 years of "wedded bliss". No, really, I know that is cliche' but for me it is true. We have had 26 years of great adventures together and with Jesus. We have been in some exciting times and some not so exciting. We have had more than our share of joyful times and some sorrowful times. And what is so terrific is that the Lord brought many of you into our lives to share this great adventure. We have been priviledged to pastor and youth pastor many people along the way. It's been fun to watch people grow up and get closer to Jesus.

Just about everyday I try to tell my beautiful bride that she is the very best thing that has ever happened to me. And it's true. Besides the L0rd, she knows that she is the best thing I have in this life. She says the same thing about me. Go figure!!!!! A close 2nd is our wonderful children Stephanie Joy (19) and Seth Jordan(22) and now our wonderful daughter-in-law, Sarah. What precious gifts God has entrusted to us. I'm totally thankful and totally blown away by God's goodness.

What are you thankful for today? Find something and mention it to the Lord and thank him for the Adventure.

Troubled in River city

Well, here I am at the end of July 2008. We have been through alot. My Son, Seth and his wife, Sarah, graduated from Life Pacific College. They got married on June 7th and moved to California. My nephew Andy got married in July and his brother Matt is heading for Biola University in August. My daughter Stephanie is finishing her distance learning class from LIFE Pacific an she is looking for a business or job that she would like to do. My parents are in transition physically emotionally and spiritually (just retiring). Do I help them make decisions or let them work it out on their own? When does a good son step in? Our church seems to be going through transition also. Attendance and finances are down. Physically for me things don't work like they used to and I have to be cautious. Things and people change. You either change or you die. The ONLY thing that is a constant in my life is Jesus. He never changes. The word of God says that Jesus Christ is the same, yesterday, today and forever. When life is unstable and in seemingly constant flux, Jesus, you are my rock, my solid foundation. I am so thankful for you.

I'm just starting to blog and feel intimidated by the number of blogs and bloggers that are out there. I just heard from Seth(my son) last night and he was excited about having 29 junior highers in youth group yesterday and that 2 girls gave there hearts to Jesus. How radically exciting is that?!!!! We had a great service here in Salmon also. BTW I don't fish but I pastor a Foursquare church in Salmon, Idaho thus :Fishpastor!!! So here we start on the great adventure of blogging. woohoooooo!
